FARMSHOP

Call 01308 482 688

We are a small, specialist farm producing biodynamic meat of the finest eating quality- consistently!. We guarantee true provanence and purity. As well as our biodynamic farming methods, we practice unique nutritional programmes with both diet and parasite control for our animals.

We only sell direct - and not through third party retailers.
All our meat is sold by the weight of the carcass being butchered, (For example you might purchase a 1/4 Piggy Box, and each Piggy is very different in size and weight), as such the price and cuts vary in each individual meat box.
(We do not supply meats on a cut by cut basis, as we need to maintain efficient butchery and delivery of our hugely popular boxed produce - every cut comes from the same carcus, which we feel is very important.)
For these reasons we would recommend that you email us with your prefered meat order, so that we can make a priority of your order.

Remember you'll be talking directly to the farmers wife and she'd be delighted to share some devine recipies and insight into how to make the most from your meat.

Now's the time to talk to us about your Christmas and Spring orders!
email: heritageprime@aol.com

Q: Why should I pre-order?
A: Due to the slow rearing and high demand of our live stock, we only have very limited produce available seasonally.
Check back regularly to see what's about to become available 'on the hook' or secure your order in advance with a deposit to enable us to fatten and finish for you to the highest standard.

Q: Why should I buy in quantity?
A: We do not supply meats on a cut by cut basis, as we need to maintain efficient butchery and delivery of our hugely popular boxed produce - every cut comes from the same carcus, which we feel is very important.

TASTE FEEDBACK IS VITAL AS WE UNUSUALLY BREED, REAR AND FINISH ALL OF OUR MEATS DIRECT FROM THE FARM - GUARANTEEING TRUE TRACEABILITY!

The advantage of buying in this way apart from the obvious health benefits is that you get all the joints at this price as you are purchasing direct from the farm, enjoying the purest and tastiest meat available -all produced without any chemical inputs and you are supporting this method of bio dynamic farming and small specialist food production as well as our conservation and wild life work. We feed our animals a very special nutritional diet the health benefits that they enjoy are then in turn passed to you - customers eating the meat on a regular basis report a great sense of energy and well-being.

Please let us know if you plan to purchase for feasting or if you are sharing your purchase with a friend - this will enable us to butcher accordingly. We do not supply offal in the boxes, however it can be purchased frozen with your order -this is due to the way that we hang our meats in the old traditional way -the meat and the offal are not ready at the same time.  Our chemical free farming means that we produce the purest offal - a very rare treat.

FACTS
Sheep reared for 18 months and over.
Our sheep are hogget's, meaning they have enjoyed two seasons grazing rather than just one, and go to slaughter over 18 months of age rather than the typical 4 months of conventional farms.
As a very rare treat ask about our mutton availablity.

We use a local Soil Association registered abattoir
This allows us to transport only a few animals at a time, and ensure a stress free slaughter for our animals.

Roam free
Our animals roam acres of fertile, herb rich land. This is a mixed farm with four species, where cattle and sheep cross graze over several fields in harmony. This gives great conservation benefits.

ENDORCEMENTS
" Their pork, from a farm near Lyme Regis, is so much better than any pork that you've ever tasted or could ever hope to taste. To say it's organic just tells you what isn't in it. What they add at Heritage Prime is immense care, good feed and excellent conditions".
Nigella Lawson.

“If I were a pig, I’d dream of living on Ian and Denise’s farm. They often eat better food than I do. Not only are their porkers produced in the most sustainable and humane fashion but they also taste better than any pig in the world. They represent a triumph for the bio-dynamic system of farming, showing that real care and attention brings out the finest flavour.””
Tom Parker Bowles.

Ian and Denise must be among the most conscientious and committed organic farmers in the country. And they have a gift for producing really wonderful meat."
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall .
